Singing is all I ever wanted to do since i was a child, my mother says.
However, despite being surrounded by the enchanting sounds of Italian Operas, I never thought I would become an opera singer!
I loved mostly contemporary music but I was very open to listen to Orchestral repertoire any time my grand -parents would play it for me. At the age of 7 my grand-dad took me to my first piano lesson. It is only with time that I learned to love classical music and in particular Opera. I was one of the youngest students to graduate in Opera singing at age 21.
For this reason, today, I am very open with my students on the choice of their repertoire. I am here to help them exploring their instrument and develop it in the healthiest possible way.
I often say to my pupils: I need to teach you how to "drive (your voice)". Where you will want to go with it, is up to you".
Singing is the result of different yet interconnected aspects:
a solid technique, a profound ability to “ listen to our body” and the willingness to express through singing.
Voice is the most sincere tool humans have to express their emotional, psychological and physical world: the most important tool we have to communicate.
Acknowledging these aspects of singing, will help you to express yourself and overcome what is holding you back from unfolding your potential.
